My approach to flamenco creates a warm, intimate feel for events that creates just the right atmosphere for guests to feel comfortable to talk and enjoy a drink, hors d'oeuvres, or dinner.
I have worked hard to learn a very unique repertoire of modern or contemporary sounding flamenco, which I play with an unusually personal feel. The music I play covers the flamenco spectrum, from intimate, relaxed arrhythmic song forms like Taranta, Rondeña, and Granaína, to intermediately paced forms like Colombiana, Rumba, Guajira, Soleá, Fandangos and the fastest forms like Alegrías, Bulerías and Sevillanas.
My repertoire comes from famous guitarists like Vicente Amigo, Gerardo Núñez, Paco Peña, Rafael Riqueni, Manolo Franco, Ramón Jiménez and others and continues to grow each month, as I set goals to learn more music that adds something special for events.
I have played for many San Diego weddings, caterers, event production companies, DMCs, hotels, restaurants, corporate events and private events as well. My approach and sound lend me to more intimate events, where a warm, exotic feel is most appropriate.
